Why should you become a member of the
Eagle Lake Improvement Association?

Every so often Board members are asked "Why should I be a member of the Eagle Lake Improvement Assocaiton?"
Here are a few reasons to consider if you are not a current member.

  • Between $1800 and $2000 is spent every year testing the quality of the water in Eagle Lake.  Records are kept to identify where pollution comes from so a plan of action can be developed to correct problem areas.
  •
Members receive a published list of all lake residents containing addresses and telephone numbers.
  • Members of the Executive Board clean out the southwest outlet of debris every year.
  • Members of the Executive Board meet annually with the DNR, PCA, Soil & Water Conservation, Hawk Creek Watershed Project, and Fish & Wildlife to develop watershed & lake projects that will continue to improve the quality of water in Eagle Lake.
  • Members of the Executive Board organize and conduct the annual 4th of July parade, summer picnic gathering, Fall leaf pickup, and the winter annual meeting/banquet.
  • All residents receive the quarterly newsletter.
  • Members of the Executive Board meet monthly to discuss the needs and problems concerning Eagle Lake.  They consider outside experts and agencies to assist in improving the quality of Eagle Lake and they try to help everyone know their neighbors and enjoy living around the lake.
